Gelcare FW25 Collection: Six New Shades to Elevate Your Nails This Season

News - Emilie SanscartierRead Time - 4 minutes

After a year of pausing new gel shades (we dedicated our energy into launching our polish line for SS25!), I couldn’t be more excited to unveil FW25.

There’s something about fall in Canada that always feels magical. The shift in wardrobe, the cozy meals at home, the fiery leaves that paint the city, it’s a season that’s both grounding and inspiring. That’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture in this collection.

As always, my creative process is fueled by the worlds I love most: culinary arts, fashion, botanicals, travels and fine art. For FW26, I focused on building timeless core shades you’ll return to year after year, while also offering two unexpected, editorial seasonal shades for the true color connoisseurs.

This season brings you six new shades:

  • Four timeless core shades: Cassis Red, Margaux Red, Café Noir, and Apricot Beige.
  • Two editorial seasonal shades: Dark Teal and Camélia.

Let’s dive into each one — because no two Gelcare shades are ever alike! My goal as Creative Director is to make sure every addition to your Gelcare library feels special and never redundant.

Café Noir – The Ultimate Dark Brown

Think of Café Noir as your chic warm brown that you’ll always go back to. Your classic. It’s fully pigmented without a purple undertone like Truffle, and it isn’t our beloved mushy brown (Espresso). This is your true warm dark brown — rich, elegant, and endlessly sophisticated. The perfect shade for anyone who loves a chic neutral.

Dark Teal – Sophistication in Layers

This one is for the ones who love an editorial seasonal shade. Dark Teal builds beautifully: three thin coats give you that deep, Parisian teal that looks as elegant with beige knits as it does with sequined holiday dresses. A visit to Café de Flore in Paris last February sparked my inspiration — not the interiors, but the iconic green logo on their famous cups. It’s seasonal, chic, and destined to turn heads at every office party and soirée.

Cassis Red – Your True Lipstick Red

Cassis Red is that universally flattering red with a subtle pink undertone — one shade darker than Morello. This is your must-have classic lipstick red, the one you’ll reach for all year long, but especially when you want a dark red for fall or during the holidays that isn’t burgundy. It’s also incredibly easy to use, even for beginners, since red pigments apply so seamlessly.

Margaux Red – The Burgundy We Perfected (Again)

Ah, Margaux Red. This one is special. Gelcare OGs will remember our Cabernet launch back in FW19. Since then, we’ve experimented with jelly finishes and glossy burgundies, but I wanted to bring back a true, fully opaque dark burgundy that applies easily for a dark red.
Formulating it was no small feat — burgundies are notoriously tricky. Too much pigment, and they won’t cure fully. Too little, and the application isn’t great. After countless tweaks in the lab, we landed on this perfectly self-leveling, richly pigmented burgundy. It’s dramatic, chic, and effortlessly wearable.

Apricot Beige – Bare, but Better

This is my personal crush of the collection. Apricot Beige is a creamy light beige with just the right peach undertone. Its texture is buttery, like Vanilla and Anemone Pink, offering a super glowy finish that I can’t recommend enough for pedicures. It celebrates the natural beauty of your nails, letting the free edge softly peek through for that effortless French look — almost like a luxury “no-makeup makeup” manicure.

Camélia – The Editorial Blush

Finally, the most playful shade of the collection: Camélia, a blush-pink that’s as versatile as it is creative. On its own, it’s a sheer veil of soft pink, a tone that instantly reminds me of a Lancôme shade you’d find in the ’90s — timeless, nostalgic, and effortlessly chic. But the real magic is in layering. One coat of Coconut Milk underneath neutralizes any nail bed redness, transforming Camélia into a luminous, glassy pink. Top it with Blush Organza for micro-sparkle, or use it as a French base with a sharp white tip for that nostalgic 2000s press-on look.

Camélia isn’t a “core” shade — it’s an editorial one. But that’s what makes it so fun: a shade to play with, experiment, and keep coming back to when you want something different.

As we launch six new gel shades, we’re also introducing six new regular polishes: three Gelcare classics (Butter, Denim, and Antique Pink) and three newcomers (Margaux Red, Café Noir, and Dark Teal). Together, they create a beautiful fall palette — especially alongside Rose BB Cream, Nude BB Cream, and Coconut Milk for the perfect seasonal polish wardrobe.

As always, my mission is to make every Gelcare color in your library unique, technical in formulation, and inspiring in wear.

I can’t wait to see how you bring these shades to life.

XO, Émilie
